Quim arqués is a self taught artist , living and working in Estartit (Girona , Catalonia ) has for many years worked in the graphic arts , and has experimented with  lithographic inks and paper .

Step by step, it has opted for new technologies , specifically photography and digital processing , which has found a new world to explore.

The current work is modern , innovative , and in it we find that simple things as everyday as a shrimp or a fork can become a work of art .

The photography is the starting point for an artistic research. Quim gives a personal touch playing with textures, shapes and elements that picture up transforming their particular initial and intimate creative expression.

The physical support of the work is of exceptional quality in both paper ( Hanhemüleh cotton fiber hundred percent ) and inks that give texture and finishes of the highest quality .

The printing method used is known as giclee and consists of the application of millions of tiny drops of ink UltraChrome , through large format printers Epson Stylus Pro . This system has continuous tone images and pure colors are impossible to play so far with traditional lithographic printing systems . The quality of a giclee copy is recognized in all professional and artistic circles . Museums , galleries and collectors everywhere exhibit , sell and store digital work printed limited editions of this method is considered the best technique in existence today to reproduce original works of art , both in black and white color. The collection has a limited number of 25 copies per piece, numbered and hand signed by the artist.
